More, cooler, dense ambient air for induction ultimately means more efficient use of power. Cooler air contains more air molecules that are grouped together and provide more mating of fuel molecules when introduced into the combustion process allowing for greater combustion efficiency, better fuel economy, and increased horsepower.
An add-on for Ram Air Intake Systems, Super-Scoop connects below the front bumper and forces a big charge of cool pressurized air into the intake's filter housing. Because air is drawn from outside the engine compartment, it has greater density and makes more power than warmer engine air. The more air that flows through an engine, the more oxygen available for burning fuel, leading to more efficient combustion that results in more power. Stock systems don't draw cooler air from underneath, and many aftermarket filters-on-sticks leave filters exposed to hot underhood air for loss of power.
Features
- Forces Charged Cool, Pressurized Ram Air into Filter Housing
- Lowers Engine Temperature
- Allows for Richer, Denser Air to Enter the Intake System
